DIGITAL ASSETS COORDINATOR

The role of the Digital Assets Coordinator is to oversee the company’s purchased or created digital assets.  Primary responsibilities include:

  •     To develop process flows to implement the Digital Assets Management System for Vista Higher Learning.
  •     Works closely with various departments and locations to gather assets for integration into the system as well as ongoing maintenance
  •     Facilitates and oversees the uploading of assets into new system
  •     Establishes metadata requirements and values that will serve as a global standard and assigns appropriate metadata for assets
  •     Provides initial and on-going system training for all users on how to upload, tag, view and download assets from the CUMULUS system
  •     Stays informed of latest CUMULUS technology trends and innovations
  •     Creates and supports ideas and suggestions to improve the system and processes
  •     Implements efficiencies in operational workflows and process
  •     Assists in trafficking of assets and information-flow throughout various departments
  •     Organizes and maintains the library archives, including digital art, creative content, video, audio, reference and special projects
  •     Keeps up-to-date records of project deliveries
  •     Registers new stock houses and photographers
  •     Maintains integrity of images distributed to requestors (inspect digital files for proper formatting and file naming)
  •     Documents CUMULUS procedures as they relate to the VHL Image video and audio libraries
  •     Communicates concerns and issues regarding workload, specific tasks, working relationships, technical problems, etc.
  •     Creates supplementary materials such as contact sheets and guides
  •     Obtains a thorough knowledge of VHL properties


The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years’ experience in asset management and a minimum of 3 years’ Cumulus experience; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to work effectively with a variety of people and to get work done through others; strong project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently with aggressive timelines and rapid changes to priorities; flexibility; knowledge of publishing processes (textbook publishing preferred); thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Creative Suite, Acrobat, and audio and video formats; and a familiarity with additional Photo Management Systems such as Image Tracker, Lightroom and/or LightBox. Some media licensing experience is preferred.
