Return Policy

Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted only for items that are saleable, unmarked, in new condition, and in the current edition. Editions that have been declared out of print are ineligible for return. Materials superseded by a new edition are not returnable after September 30th of the year of publication of the new edition unless prior extension was granted in writing.

Custom products are not returnable. International orders are not returnable.

Timing

• Returns from Higher Education bookstores and VHL reseller partners will be accepted for 240 days from the original invoice date to the date received at the return address cited below.
• Returns from K–12 Education direct-purchase district or school accounts will be accepted for 30 days from the original invoice date to the date received at the return address cited below.

Please contact Customer Support in the event you have received defective, damaged, or incorrect items. These products should be returned immediately. No credit will be given for damaged items without prior authorization for return.

Return Procedures

No permission to return is required for eligible materials. However, any items received that are considered non-returnable will be refused and returned at customer’s expense.

A copy of the original invoice(s) for items being returned must accompany the returned shipment along with clear identification of the customer making the return. Failure to include requested documentation could result in a denial or delay of credit.

Physical returns should be sent to the following address by a traceable service with the appropriate documentation as cited above. Boxes of 40 lbs. or more will not be accepted and returned items may not exceed the number of units originally invoiced.
