Jessica Villalobos is a passionate leader in multilingual education and currently serves as a Literacy Engagement Specialist at Vista Higher Learning. With a deep commitment to equity, access, and high-quality language instruction, she partners with districts to support the success of multilingual learners and the educators who serve them.
Jessica's previous roles include serving as the Executive Director of the Language & Cultural Equity Department at Albuquerque Public Schools and as a secondary Dual Language and ELD teacher.
As an emergent bilingual herself, she is a passionate advocate for culturally and linguistically diverse students and families. She has contributed to statewide efforts through her service on the New Mexico Biliteracy Progressions Task Force and has led professional learning to strengthen academic language development.
