I was raised around multiple languages and cultures. Growing up in a rural/agricultural community in northern California, my mother taught in the migrant education department and my father as a child was a farmworker. My roots are deep in Italian, Spanish and Mexican cultures. I love working with teachers and know what a lifelong impact they have on their students. I lost track of the amount of times my mom was recognized by former students that told her how much she meant to them and what a difference she made in their lives.
