Jennifer Bennett

National Language Specialist

I first fell in love with modern languages when I traveled to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. While walking down the crowded, narrow streets of this majestic medieval city, looking at the local people gathered at tables sharing tapas, wine, and lively conversation, I could not help but think about how people have been gathering in these same streets for over 800 years, and for that moment, I had become a part of that immense history.

Through my work at VHL, I have been able to inspire others to discover their passion for the study of modern languages. I bring years of experience as a Spanish teacher into my current role, where I support language programs across higher education nationwide. With a Master’s in Education and a passion for multilingualism, I love partnering with faculty to design curriculum solutions that truly engage students and build real-world language skills.

Having been in the classroom myself, I understand the challenges educators face. That’s why I focus on practical, pedagogically sound solutions—whether it’s through campus visits, curriculum consultations, or collaborating on editorial feedback. My goal is to make sure our offerings meet the evolving needs of today’s language learners and the educators who guide them.
